Help with PurrBuddy.
How the tray works, what happens to your progress, why the ads are there. PurrBuddy is not on the App Store yet, so if something here is missing or unclear there is still time to fix it. Just write in.

Getting started
Which devices does PurrBuddy run on, and what does it cost?
PurrBuddy runs on iPhone and iPad, on iOS 15 or later. It is free, paid for by ads, and there are no in-app purchases of any kind — nothing in the game is held back behind a payment. It is rated 4+.
The game is on the App Store. The download links throughout this site are live.
How does a level actually work?
PurrBuddy is a triple-match puzzle. Tap a tile on the board and it drops into the tray underneath. When three of the same tile meet in the tray they merge and clear, freeing the space again.
The tray holds five tiles. If all five fill up without a match you lose one life, the tiles drop back onto the board and play carries on. Board shapes change as you go — diamond, plus, frame, twin towers — so a shape you have not seen before is worth reading for a moment before you start tapping.
What do the five lives mean?
Filling the tray without a match does not end the level: you lose one life, the tiles go back onto the board and play continues. The level only ends when all five lives are gone — and even then a short video gives you one more so you can carry on from where you were. The lives sit above the tray as five Miyuv faces, dimming as you spend them.
In practice the lives are there so that one bad run does not cost you the whole level. If the tray is at four tiles and nothing pairs up, that is the moment to use a helper rather than to keep tapping and hope.
What do the hint, shuffle and undo buttons do?
They are the three helpers. The hint points you at a move when the board stops making sense, the shuffle stirs the tiles up when nothing on top goes with anything else, and the undo takes back the tile you wish you had not tapped.
Hints and shuffles are free six times per level and the allowance refills with every new level; after that each one costs a short video. Undo always asks for a short video. When the board genuinely runs out of moves, the game reshuffles it for you at no cost, so an ad is never what stands between you and finishing a level.
Does the game need an internet connection?
No. The whole game plays offline — levels, coins, buying furniture and Miyuv’s room all work in airplane mode, because everything is kept on the device.
Two things use a connection when there is one: the ads, and Game Center if you have signed in. Neither of them is needed to play.
Tiles, coins and Miyuv’s room
How do new tiles unlock?
There are three tile collections — Cozy Classics, Cat Friends, which is eight pastel cats, and Cat Cafe. The game rotates between them every 20 levels, so the board changes character before a set has the chance to feel worn out.
Inside a collection, two new tiles unlock every three levels. That is also the quiet difficulty curve: the more different tiles are in play, the harder an easy triple is to find.
How do I earn coins?
By playing. Levels pay out coins, and there are three extras on top: a daily gift for opening the game, a win streak that rewards consecutive wins, and a gift box every three levels.
Coins have one job: the furniture in Miyuv’s room. None of the helpers cost coins — they have their own rule, described above. Nothing in the game can be bought with real money.
How does Miyuv’s room work?
Miyuv is an orange kitten, and the room is what you are furnishing while you play. There are 15 pieces of furniture, each bought with coins you have earned.
Once a piece is yours, tap it and Miyuv walks over and uses it: he sleeps, eats, plays and purrs, depending on what you tapped. Tapping something he does not own yet does nothing — buy it first and he will find it.
What are the four room stages?
The room grows as you furnish it, and each step has a name: A Fresh Start, then Getting Cozy, then Almost Paradise, and finally Miyuv’s Paradise.
The stage follows the furniture, so there is nothing extra to chase — keep buying pieces and the room moves up on its own.
Can I buy coins, or pay to remove the ads?
No. PurrBuddy has no in-app purchases at all: no coin packs, no ad-free upgrade, no subscription. There is no purchase screen in the game, because there is nothing to sell.
The ads are what pays for the game, which is why they are not something you can buy your way out of. Every coin in the game is earned by playing.
Progress, Game Center and ads
My progress is gone, or the game started again from the beginning.
Everything PurrBuddy remembers — your level, your score, your coins and every piece of furniture — is stored on the device and nowhere else. There is no account and no cloud save, so nothing of yours ever reaches OZJAM, and there is nothing on our side to restore from.
That has three consequences worth knowing. Progress does not travel to a second device, so an iPad starts at level 1 even if the iPhone is far ahead. Deleting the app deletes the save with it. And reinstalling gives you a fresh start rather than the game you left. If it happened without you deleting anything, write in and tell us what you did just before.
I watched an ad but did not get the reward.
The ad has to finish. If it is closed early, or the game is sent to the background halfway through, it does not count as watched and the reward is not given.
The other common cause is the connection dropping mid-ad. Reconnect, go back and try the same ad again — a failed attempt costs you nothing. If it keeps happening on a good connection, e-mail us and say which reward it was and roughly how often it fails.
My score is not showing up in Game Center.
Almost always this is because the device is not signed in. Open Settings on your device, go to Game Center, sign in there, then reopen PurrBuddy.
PurrBuddy has one leaderboard and seven achievements. Signing in is optional and nothing in the game is locked behind it — you can finish every level and buy every piece of furniture without ever touching Game Center. Scores and achievement progress only travel while you are signed in, and once they do they sit in your Game Center account, under Apple’s privacy policy rather than ours.
Is a Turkish version coming?
It is planned, but it is not in the game yet. PurrBuddy ships in English only for now, and we would rather say that plainly than promise a month.
The game asks very little of the language, though: the board, the tray and the room are read by looking at them. This site is in Turkish and English, and support is answered in Turkish.
Why are there ads, and what do they see?
The ads are served by Google AdMob, and they are the only reason the game can be free with no in-app purchases. Google may process device identifiers, your IP address and ad-interaction data in order to show and measure them, under its own privacy policy.
Two limits are worth knowing. PurrBuddy never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does not track you across other apps or websites. And the ads are restricted to a “G” — general audiences — content rating. The game shows no consent or cookie prompt at all, and ads are served non-personalised in every country.
What does the game know about me?
Nothing that identifies you, and nothing that reaches us. There is no account, no login and no registration, and your progress stays on the device — we run no server for it to reach. OZJAM collects no personal data through PurrBuddy at all.
Two things happen outside the game and neither is ours: the advertising described above, which is Google’s side of the arrangement, and — if you sign in — your score and achievements, which Apple’s Game Center holds. The full picture, including what Google’s own policy covers, is in the PurrBuddy privacy policy.
Something is broken — how do I report it?
E-mail us with four things: your device, your iOS version (Settings › General › About), what happened, and the level number you were on. A screenshot or a short screen recording is worth more than any description.
Nothing is logged on our side, so your account of it is genuinely the only evidence there is. If the game crashed, say whether it happens every time or only once. Ideas are welcome in the same inbox — describe what you were trying to do rather than which button you want.
Nothing here helped?
Write to us. The message lands in the inbox next to where the game is made, and it gets a proper answer rather than a template.
For a bug, include your device, your iOS version, what happened and the level number you were on. That one paragraph usually turns three e-mails into one.
